Exterior Lights
Break Lights
The tail lights from a previous owner was quite a mess, as seen below.
I was in NAPA the other day looking for some light bulbs and spied some LED lights that would fit in the hacked out holes IF I could come up with a way to make a good round hole.
I screwed on a piece of plywood to hold the position and with a 4-1/2" hole saw with great care drilled a new larger hole in the skin.
Took a bit of doing to get the rubber insert in the hole and a lot of persuasion to pop the lens in the last 1/2" way.
I used soapy water to get the last 1/2" in the screws only hold the lens cover to the rubber.
Marker Lights
The original running lights were in pretty
tough shape.
It is a good thing I had access to the interior to cut off the fasteners on the
rear lights. Carbon steel severely corroded. Front lights I was able to back out
the screws with vise grips from the inside.
