Clearing an area for better access.
I have long wanted to clear an area behind the garage to have access to work on a restoration near power.
I came by a chance to have the area cleared and leveled.
So I sent my day off playing in the dirt!
Two large pines needed to be removed. Off to the saw mill to make lumber.
The day started by digging and clearing the
area. As you can see, I have plenty of large rock to dispose of. This makes a
good fill for the hole we dug to access the fill.
Darn near had a pond, hit a good vein of water.
A very large Oak Tree left us with a problem, there was so much of the area disturbed, the oak will perish slowly. I made a deal with a Tree Removal contractor and we removed the tree in a couple hours. Kind of cut into the budget, but we had budgeted for gravel to be brought in that we did not need now.
As you can see it is leaning over the power lines. Sometimes you have to let a professional do it....
The oak stump slowed us just a bit. With this removed it has opened up the entire area for access.
