Friday Arrival

Several months ago, I was contacted by a very (ca 1582)distant cousin. Her and her husband had joined the NY chapter of the "Escapee". We kept in contact over the long winter months via E-mail.
They invited us to join them at a Rally in the Finger Lakes Region. We had an incredible time! Spent the weekend catching up on the families 400+ separation.

We were amazed to find so many similar interests, one being Vintage Airstreams, of which, we have 4 and they have 3.

Now this is an unusual way to cook up a full turkey!

Charcoal briquettes heating the top, a small cook thermometer in the side to keep watch proved it could be done!

Here is a very unique activity.
20 cloth bags, 20 items.
Winner is the is the couple that guesses the "closest" descriptive answers. It is way tougher than looks!

Very large cross sections of rigs, from vintage to new, from 20' to 37'

On Sunday, we spent the day driving down to Watkins Glen. What an incredible way to step back in time!

It is of coarse Wine Country. Stopped at one of the local wineries for a tasting. Spent a very long time, tasting and learning how they produce the vint's.
