We found this on a back road in Maine, I can not take credit for the find as a friend drove by and scoped it out first. He knew I might be interested. We drove up and took a walk around, the owner came out to see who was looking. We chatted for a bit, I crawled under it to look at the condition of the frame that was exposed. For the vintage and considering it was sitting near the road ( winter road salt) the paint was in decent shape and the frame was in good shale. The rear bumper is intact as well as the compartment. Some vines were growing here and there but over all the lawn around it was well maintained. A couple of dings, NO broken windows. Original propane tanks gone. Tires are marginal at best. Hope to make it home with no incident!
So far I was not disappointed from the description I had. We opened the door and was surprised to find the interior in real nice shape! The carpet, is original and not noticeably worn. No water staining even though it is missing a vent cover. AC unit did not show any sings of gross leakage. Interior walls are not faded or scratched. One panel had a crack and most the door latches work easy.
Once again we were pleased to see the bath fixtures intact, I've looked at a few in the last year that had some serious damage here. Other than the normal fading all the components looked to be in good working order.
