Repairs and Upgrades

Rebuild of the waste valves was in early spring. I wanted to check to ensure there were no leaks.

Good thing I took the time to investigate. The rainy weather we have been traveling in forced moisture in and wetted a small portion of the insulation.

No Leaks! Whew!

Re-installed the panel with foam gasket material.

Had leak by from the relief valve. Deleted it from the piping. No leaks after 24 hour pressure test @ 48 P.S.I.

We use electric heat in the cold season camping as much as possible to supplement the furnace or just use our electric, oil filled heater. On occasion the breaker trips on overload. To eliminate this problem, I wired a new outlet in, 20 amp. By replacing the original breaker with a dual service one I can dedicate it to just one outlet.

Driving down a rough highway I happened to look in the mirror to see my shore power cable trailing behind us like a tale on a monkey! I lost the few things that were in the "trunk" area and wore the cord and plug down. I had wanted to put a marine plug in in the future so I guess the future is now.

Oh yeah, we returned to the area of the highway and found all but one item! The Zip Dee thing you pull the awning out with, no biggie, made a new one out of Stainless Steel

Removed the OLD, very HEAVY tube radio.

Seemed a waste to let all that space go, not to mention that the door no longer stays closed by itself. I happened to have a standard lock hanging around in a box of miscellaneous parts. Drilled an undersized hole and made it to fit with my Dremel tool.

Don't you hate those sliding plastic bug guards in the screen door of the 70's. I saw this in a '68 Sovereign (of the Road)

When the door closes, it pops open. I love it!

Came across a thread on the Forum for a New Shroud.

Both eh Argosy and the Overlander could use an upgrade.
Oddly it was thought to be doe a '77.
When I went to pick it up I noticed it was for a '74. No problem!

Old

The bottom of the new one was actually for a 77 AC unit.
So I was able to use the original
